Thanks to KORE’s new production plant, customers can be guaranteed faster deliveries.

New production facilities for Koskisen’s KORE business unit, which specialises in interior solutions for vans, have been completed in Toporow, Poland. “The new production plant will help increase production three-fold in 2018, which will, in turn, guarantee even faster deliveries to customers,” says a pleased Mikko Tarula, Director for KORE and Poland.

The new plant expansion and machine installations for Koskisen’s KORE business were completed during the autumn in Toporow, Poland. Parts of production have already been transferred to the new premises: wall panel production has begun and floor board production will start up in the second week of November. Since the new production hall is connected to the old premises, the move causes no production breaks or disturbances to customer deliveries. The reason behind the decision to invest in new production premises is the lack of space due to growth both in demand for interior solutions for vans and in KORE’s production. The expansion enables faster delivery times to customers and raising the production capacity to a new level.

“With this new, larger production space and modern production machinery, we will be able to even double or triple our production volumes in 2018. A main goal of the investment was also to speed up the order-delivery process and reduce material waste by taking advantage of the latest technology,” says Tarula.

KORE manufactures cut-to-size, ready-to-install floor and wall panels and wheel-arch covers for van interiors.

Construction of the new production plant and the equipment installations proceeded according to plan, despite challenges in the summer right before the new premises were completed: the construction work partly limited production also in the old plant, which caused unfortunate delays in deliveries. Now, delivery times are almost back to normal.

“Special thanks are due to all of our KORE customers, who we have been able to work closely with in developing products and services to meet customer needs. Further development is in store and we will significantly speed up and improve the order-production process in the coming weeks and months,” says Tarula.
