Filip Mackowiak has worked at Koskisen’s Polish office since May. Filip’s areas of responsibility cover KORE customers and projects in Poland, as well as in Eastern and Central Europe; KORE products are pre-machined and ready-to-install floor and wall panels for light transport vehicles.
Thirty-nine-year-old Filip lives with his family in the city of Oborniki, near Poznan, in western Poland. It takes him two hours to get to his workplace in Toporow, but Filip makes efficient use of that time, taking care of phone calls. During his free time, Filip is an active marathoner, and he also does cross fit and bike riding. His two children also keep him busy.
Filip has a master’s degree in industrial engineering and management from the University of Poznan. From 2004 to 2008, Filip worked as a laboratory equipment sales representative for a measuring and controlling equipment company whose customers included construction companies. Prior to joining Koskisen as Area Manager for KORE, Filip worked ten years as a sales engineer in electrical and fastening solutions.
Filip’s first weeks at Koskisen went by quickly, with training at the KORE mill in Toporow and at the head office in Järvelä. “I really had to learn about this new product thoroughly so that I would have as much knowledge as possible to help me sell solutions to customers,” recounts Filip. With his first months now behind him, his gaze is set firmly on the future. “I am contacting potential customers and partners to build a distribution network for the rapidly growing Polish market. I already have good connections with vehicle manufacturers and importers,” lists Filip.
He cites an efficient sales organisation and product managers who aim for a win-win situation all around as the advantages of KORE. “We work with an open mind and the customer’s best interests in mind. We all have solid technical knowledge and we are true team players,” he says.
Filip sees an even bigger and better KORE in the future. “We learn something new with every order, like how to improve the product or speed up delivery schedules, or how to best meet customer needs,” he says. “I want to help build KORE into a global brand.”
