Alexander Bechthold, 33, has started in his position as Manager of KORE products for Germany and other German-speaking regions. Alexander lives near Bielefeld with his family, but he was born in Omsk, Russia. He moved to Germany in 1991.

“After school, I learned carpentry and made, for instance, wooden stairs. Then I spent eight years in the German army. After the army, I completed further studies in wood engineering, specialising in wood technology. Then I worked at a company called Blomberger Holzindustrie, as a key account manager monitoring international projects,” he recounts. “At Koskisen, I’m responsible for KORE customers and projects in the light commercial vehicles industry.”

A smooth start

“In my previous job, I had no contact with Koskisen, although of course the company’s name and products were familiar to me,” says Alexander. He says he has had a pleasant and smooth start in his new job. “I started in July. I had a lot of time for training and induction right from the start in both Järvelä and Poland. Everyone I work with in the company is very helpful, so I regularly get all the latest information, for instance, via Skype. Everyone wants to share their information and know-how with everyone else, which also benefits the company,” he says. “Since I have regularly been in touch with other employees in the company, I have been able to get a grasp on my tasks within a very short period of time and networked with my colleagues.”

KORE – an appealing material for van interiors

Developed by Koskisen’s Panel industry, the pre-machined and ready-to-install KORE floor and wall panels for light transport vehicles have established their place in the markets. Alexander says KORE’s flexibility makes it especially interesting. “We are able to respond quickly to our customers’ requests,” says Alexander, adding, “The interiors of vans and commercial vehicles offer our products many opportunities, and we can personalise the solutions to large extent. Our machinery is technologically world class, and our new production plant in Poland lays a good foundation for our operations. Koskisen has good reason to be proud of it.”

“The main task of my KORE team is to gain visibility. We have ambitious targets and we do everything we can to reach them. We are growing strongly and our tasks are correspondingly growing,” says Alexander.

“The IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018 fair in Hannover gave us momentum that we want to ride into the new year. The KORE team also continues to grow, and we want to quickly integrate our new colleagues in the team. At the start of October, we gained a new Business Director in Mika Reini. I would like to take this opportunity to wish him great success in his tasks as part of the KORE team, and I look forward to working with him,” Alexander concludes.
